COMPANY HISTORY:

Appleton Traffic Equipment is one of Australia's leading traffic product manufacturers, servicing both Local and State Governments since 1910.

The business began quite humbly at Sherwood, Brisbane, with the manufactures of sheetmetal products. Appleton was an early pioneer of railway hand signal lamps, kerosene burners, kitchen tidies, letterboxes, and the car fridge. (Similar to today's esky).

In the 1960's, Appleton began manufacturing traffic signs and roadside furniture. It has a respected name for quality and on time service.

In 1985, Appleton Traffic aligned themselves with Nikkalite Pty. Ltd., who is the Australian agent for Nippon Carbide Industries, manufactures of reflective sheeting and marking films. This alliance has brought major benefits for both companies, with Nikkalite being seen as a strong competitor in the reflective sheeting business.

Appleton Traffic Equipment has been managed by the Trueman family since 1935, and with your support, will continue to be a major supplier of traffic products throughout Australia.
